Service in our community is faith in action. We hope to foster within our students an understanding of their call to share of themselves for the common good. As a promotion requirement, junior high students volunteer up to 15 hours a year over their junior high career at service agencies, school and church functions, and within their own neighborhoods performing Christian service as an integral part of their lived faith.
As a school, community service is offered through annual telephone book recycling; regular collections of food, clothing, and household items for FISH and Catholic Charities; and fundraisers for special needs such as hurricane or tornado victims, sick members at school, or other unique circumstances. Third grade students make treasures for Neoga Nursing Home residents four times per year. Junior High students adopt a family each year to buy Christmas gifts for them.
