If you or a friend or relative is in need of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick please contact one of the priests who will come and administer the anointing. No time is a bad time to call a priest to ask to be anointed.
Please remember that unless you contact us or specifically ask the hospital to contact us we have no way of knowing that you are in the hospital.
The Anointing of the Sick is also celebrated twice each year during Mass, once in Advent and once in Lent. Please watch the parish bulletin for more information of these two Masses.
Baptisms are celebrated on Saturday evenings during or after the 4:30 p.m. Mass and on Sunday mornings following the 11:00 a.m.
Prior to the baptism of their child, parents must attend a Baptism Class. Class dates and times are published in the parish bulletin, or can be obtained by calling the parish office.

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is held during the third grade year for both St. Anthony Grade School and our Parish School of Religion.
The date and time of the celebration of the Sacrament is dependent upon the schedule of the Diocesan Bishop.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is celebrated every day at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, with the exception of a few days throughout the year, which are always noted in advance in the parish bulletin.
The daily and weekly Mass schedule is as follows:
Monday - Friday: 6:30 a.m.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 a.m.
Saturday: 4:30 p.m.
Sunday: 7:30 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Eve of Holy Days: 5:30 p.m.
Holy Days: 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.

First Holy Communion is celebrated along with Confirmation in the Spring for those in third grade. Please contact the parish office at (217) 347-7129 for more information.
The Sacrament of Penance (also called Reconciliation or Confession) is celebrated each Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. until all confessions are heard. It is also celebrated 30 minutes prior to each weekday Mass.
Penance Services with individual confessions are celebrated during the seasons of Advent and Lent and are publicized through the parish bulletin.
A penitent may also schedule a time for confession by anonymously contacting one of the priests and asking him to be in the confessional at a certain time on a certain day.
First Reconciliation is celebrated with those students in the second grade prior to their first reception of Holy Communion. For more information about First Reconciliation contact the parish center at (217) 347-7129.
Couples wishing to enter the Sacrament of Marriage at St. Anthony of Padua parish should contact one of the priests not less than six months prior to the intended date.
Weddings are typically celebrated on Friday evenings or on Saturdays with rehearsals the day before the ceremony, though other arrangements may be made. No wedding may begin after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
All couples wishing to marry at St. Anthony's must attend either a Marriage Encounter weekend or a Pre-Cana Conference. Please contact the parish secretary to register for either of these.
