The Parish School of Religion (PSR) provides religious formation for students in grades first through twelfth who attend public schools. Our goal is to instruct the youth of our parish family as a community of believers in the Catholic faith.
The instructions include faith-enriching experiences, such as liturgies, faith instructions, prayer, service projects, sacramental preparation, discussions leading to moral awareness, and community service. Our parish provides this PSR program to help parents fulfill their obligations as primary educators of our Catholic faith. Parents are welcome to come to any of the classes or may volunteer to assist one of the catechists. The cooperation between parents and teachers will result in responsible behavior essential for the growth of the student as a contributing member of the Catholic community.
PSR classes are held from September to May each year, but students may enter by registering at any time of the year. A $30 fee is asked for each student in attendance to help defray expenses for materials and textbooks.
Classes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 at Sacred Heart Grade School.
The teachers are members of St. Anthony of Padua Parish and Sacred Heart Parish. Their service is voluntary.
