October 26, 2026

The faithful are required to sanctify the day commemorating the Resurrection of the Lord as well as the principal liturgical feasts honoring the mysteries of the Lord, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the saints.

“You shall attend Mass on Sundays and on holy days of obligation and rest from servile labor.”

- CCC §2042

The small moments of our days lie as humble threads in the tapestry of our lives. Each passing minute wants for the golden thread which pulls our life into a story; God has required us to keep this golden time, this sacred time, the holy days of obligation, so that our desire remains satisfied. In turn, these obligations bring the fabric of our tapestry into a unified whole depicting, by the grace of God, the story of a saint.

The Benefits of Mass

Love incarnate, our Lord Jesus Christ, Creator of the Cosmos, enters into the world in his body and blood present at the Altar. If you wish to know the God who made you, the God who asks you to join with the choir of saints, the most fundamental step is to make it to mass week after week.

“Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, ‘Take, eat; this is my body.’ And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

- Matthew 26:26–28
